Sounds like water got inside something from the snow and is causing issues.

I have a 2020, I don't drive my car from Thanksgiving to mid-April because of winter, we get about 80 inches of snow on average. Car is covered and stored in my non-heated garage. I have never put a battery tender on it, I leave my radar detector plugged in, and while stored I start it once a week and let it run for 30 minutes so it comes up to full temp. I have never had any issues starting it even when it's been below zero outside, probably 20 in the garage. Not even close to an issue. The OEM AGM battery lasted 5 years. Cold temps should give you zero issues. My guess is water from the snow shorted something out.

Thanks for the feedback, I'm good. I've done extensive research on storing a car including talking to engineers and classic car owners who store their 20, 30, 50 year old cars. Once thing consistent about the subject is that everyone has an opinion. I appreciate your comments.

I just don't think 30min running in a freezing garage is enough to get the oil temp where you need it for long enough to burn off the cold start contaminants. Personally I'd just change the oil before storage and leave it at that over the winter but it's up to you.

I’m sorry, how are you surprised that a dealer doesn’t want to touch your car after you modified it? Like really?

To put them on blast is like peak entitlement.

When I was in College I was a mechanic apprentice - Cars would come in with all sorts of issues and they had aftermarket parts on them, the mechanics would spend a bit looking into the issue and if they couldn't figure it out they asked for the car to be returned back to stock so they could continue troubleshooting. It's nothing against you, its just how the game is played.

No oil on the top end, not getting oil up to operating temp and not putting load on the motor is not good. Don't start it unless you are going to drive it.

Then again, my father in law has smoked since he was a teenager and his lungs are fine...so take it for what its worth that what is wrong might not always cause you an issue....

They are 100% part of the electrical system, even more than a downpipe or exhaust, so yes, they are.
