Actually kind of crazy huh? I drove the car for about 5 days pretty gingerly before even beginning to log or push the pedal down.Holy shit dudeglad you are ok. Im always worried about this exact scenario when people are getting logs for me
I cant believe the stupid OTS 262144 limp mode literally contributed to totalling your car. I do have to ask what tires you are running where 4th gear will break loose like that
Sorry for your loss man.Actually kind of crazy huh? I drove the car for about 5 days pretty gingerly before even beginning to log or push the pedal down.
Then I started doing 2.5k 4th gear pulls to log and that was when I started seeing only 8 pounds of boost. Did like 8 of them, and obviously, with only 8 pounds of boost, never really lost traction. After a bit more testing and research, I reflashed to stock, then back to OTS map.
Thought I was safe to give it a little bit of gas for a log and did not even make it to half throttle before traction left the chat. Surprise! The tune actually worked now and all 22 pounds of boost sent it fully. Note that this was with VSC still on, btw.
Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02s were the tires.
it was a little sprinkly out.Sorry for your loss man.
Yeah VSC on only helps so much, the root cause here is probably the rain.
I basically dont touch the throttle at all in the rain since its tried to step out on me a couple times. Hope you find yourself in another supra soon.
2023 is the sweet spot in my opinion. Last major refresh, but im biased.I definitely think it was wrong to try and do it while it was a little sprinkly out. No arguments there.
That is the plan, depending on what insurance is going to offer. Looking at a used 2021ish or 2026. Did not realized base pricing went up to 68
