Ha. Let’s hope no one dropped anything in the assembly line.

Any info on the DI limits? Fuel pump capacity before flat-lining?
depends on a few things. Fuel used, AFR targets, Airflow from turbo and etc. but realistically the injectors themselves should flow enough fuel for 700-800whp (ethanol content dependent)

Exactly. I'm working on a permanent solution (pump & injectors) for 1000hp, but in the mean time finding the stock fuel system max hp with 100 octane on a big turbo without meth.

Well I will help find out those limits towards the end of this week and be able to report back. My turbo will be a bit bigger than that and if it gets done by Friday I will go to FL2K and try and put it to the pavement.

I hope no one "dropped my piston and rod" in the factory because I'm about to find out if they did.
You might drop your piston and rod :p

We already knew the motor was a ticking bomb at 700 why push it. Just piston and rod that thing already

I'm still in for the 1KHP stock bottom-end B58....especially with E85.

Good luck fellas, glad to see some people are pushing these motors more and more everyday. :headbang:

we've been thinking about trying it. 1000hp should be doable, as thats like 875-900whp. Just tune it to keep the torque around 600tq. Would be enough to make a couple 1k passes.

But the flip side of that, its not real world as i know the rods and pistons wont last there. im not for the glory runs just for bragging to say i did it. anyone can do that. all but the stock rods and pistons can sustain 1000hp.

I think you should do it.

Imagine the publicity you would get, especially if you beat Papadakis and anyone else. Also, it would be amazing to finally have something to shut the haters up.

to be fair, the 1K hp bottom end thing means whp. the 2J can do 1000whp stock bottom end (perfect conditions) which is where that all came from...
Again, making 1k and sustaining it is two different things. Neither engines stock rods and pistons will sustain 1000whp much longer than the other. Block blocks themselves though....will sustain 1k

that much is true for the 2J as its not going to reach any sort of longevity, but I have yet to see the B58 do the same.

hopefully it does; it appears that it should be able to.

Yeah I'm not going to try and damage something something else with a glory run but I will go for 750whp on stock rods and pistons as long as everything is looking good with the tune.

After that I'll put some forged goodies in there and headwork and push for more but I think a solid 800whp on this car will keep me happy for a while. At least for a couple of weeks. Haha
