Android auto retrofit with just PnP device?

Confirmed that the HUD integration matches an iPhone. My daughter was here with her iPhone so I tested. The HUD displays the same info as an iPhone (track title, previous/next) and the buttons work to change the track.

So far it is 100% the same experience as an iPhone with Carplay. It is everything I hoped it would be.

Thanks for the write up, i have a quick question if you're able to answer, do you happen to use any cracked apps? i have used AA normally on other cars but my cracked app never seem to work(pandora specifically). i can,however, still play music through bluetooth but i just can't seem to control them through the car. was wondering if it might work on this Ai Box, thanks.

I bought the round one.. whatever that brand is.. Will be here Friday for me to try out... Interesting about the price increase. I got it at the 156 price. Thats pretty lame.

Just ordered on amazon for $200! pumped this isn't going to cost me $800 and require me to tear apart the unit to splice wires.

Amazon (and many other retailers) use all of the data the collect on people to determine what price they think you'll pay. They will sometimes show certain people a different price, based on their prediction about how a person is willing to pay. They may be showing me a higher price either because they think I'm not price sensitive, or because they want me to think there's a "deal" on the other model (and create a sense of FOMO).

There are many terms for this practice, but the most common today is "Personalized Pricing". It's like "dynamic pricing" based on supply/demand/disasters, except per person.

Would these be revanced app style apps? because those require no real sideloading of the OS other than developer mode enabled and allowing unknown sources

Lookup how to do unknown sources with android auto, that may be potentially the issue, android auto itself requires unknown sources be enabled
