Good morning everyone

Just wanted to get advice on installing the T51R mod. Has anyone had any luck removing the housing without removing the whole turbo on a 2 port.

Heard it’s possible but seems like quite a struggle to get the bolt that sits between the lines (closest to the air intake). The other struggle was the bolt on the rear back side closest to the engine, required a friend with small hands.

can’t find a single video of someone doing the removal anywhere online.
Also my wastegate has a shroud making it impossible to remove without dismantling the calibration 😩

any advice or assistance is appreciated.

Yeah nice, video is of a guy doing it on a 6port. I was asking if anyone had experience with doing it on a 2port without removing the entire turbo, and what they used to remove a certain bolt thats an issue.

Appreciate your ability to google tho m8

everyone is being an asshole for what😂 dude is just asking for input no need to be such a dick head about it. i doubt you guys who are being a dick don’t even do any work on your car.

@treadmillchicken it sounds like it’s your first time and idk your experience with working on cars. my advice to people who don’t wrench often and are doing DIY stuff, sometimes it’s better to take the “longer route” to make your job easier as opposed to the “shortcut”. you might not have the right tools in hand to do it with the turbo on.
it’s fairly easy to do it without removing the turbo but it does take some finessing so prepare for that.
so yes it’s possible to do it on a 2 port without removing the turbo, just takes some patience. good luck bro!

"You guys are assholes"

"So anyway, here are a whole bunch of assumptions I am going to make because I am also being an asshole..."

Guys, its not that serious. I was just asking if anyones done it on this forum and about their experience....

Didn't ask for a video, didnt ask for your opinions on the mod, and def didnt ask for all this passive aggression from pete.

Honestly Pete, grow up. Stop posting lame memes and mocking the new whistle noises.
