I wonder if the added bump stops to the suspension mean that part of the suspension changes is a lower 2021 car?

Thanks for the photos. I wish they at least painted it black or red... Looks pretty ugly atm.
I think the engine bay looks a lot cleaner without it. Another pro for the My2020. Lol

I put the Cusco strut supports on mine today. I didn't think I would notice much difference as the frame etc, are already so stiff. I do. It is more exact and just plain feels different, in a positive way. It also looks far better than the cheap version above.

The cheap version is about $30 for both sides. Look for the z4 part number and paint black

No thanks from me. It looks like crap and I didn't pay what I didn't to put stuff that looks like that on or in the car.

I'm just going to buy the Cusco set and have it powder coated black. Can't see having a single blue accent in an otherwise black and yellow car. Although since there's zero heat concerns (well to the point that you'd need temp resistant paint at least) maybe I'll just paint them myself for the cheap. Gonna have to use etching primer I suppose with anodized aluminum, right? Hmm..:hmm:

New plan... wait a bit and have the wheels and bars PC'd at the same time...

Just put H&R springs & all the Cusco bits in, way cheaper than changing up to a 2021 when you already have a 2020

Put on a down pipe, catted or not, a BM3 stage 2 tune on it & off you go, what 2021 ????, still cost you less than changing :D

Iā€™ll be giving it the Krylon touch. It is an engine bay at the end of the day.
Probably the simplest solution... although I may have been known to spend 8 hours detailing my engine bay at one time. Granted I was much younger then... I'm pretty sure my back would force me to stop at just a couple hours now.

not to mention there's a price rise for the 2021 model.
There had better be... I hope it's $20K... :p j/k

I doubt that. These parts can be cranked out by the simplest of shop tools in mass. A couple of guys in a garage with a press and a punch could probably supply all of BMW.

Knowing Toyota, this was financial. The BOM goes down $15 without them. $15 x 5,000 cars is $75,000.
Or they needed more time to properly calibrate the steering, electronic diff, other software-configurable suspension bits, etc... for the brace changes.

I mean, they didnā€™t even have time to make all of the service bay tools work...
