NONE. BOUGHT BACK - 2020 Absolute Zero 3.0 Premium
I’m likely going to be receiving my repurchase check this week. Any advice to maximize my discount on the replacement Supra?

I just bought my wife a premium for 45500 out the door.
That is below dealer cost. I imagine you purchased it in Texas so its a Gulf States Toyota region and it would also be below distributor cost. Unless they got you on your trade in/financing (and your story is true) -- someone lost thousands of dollars on that car.

How many miles did it have? Other possibility was that it was a demo; still a bigger loss on a demo than what I would expect. Perhaps it could have been damaged in transport to no longer be sold as new. Actually as a class II damage (certain dollar threshold or any roof damage) that price may have been in line, but it also wouldn't be sold as new even with factory miles on it.

Anyone know any good deals in California. I am in the bay area but I don't mind going to neighbouring states if it's a good deal! Right now my local dealer is asking $54468 for a premium with driver assistance package. Seems like a good price but I am looking for a better deal. The interest rate they are charging is too high. I could go to a bank but I want to buy it at a lower price because of the A91 announcement.

You may want to check out Walnut Creek. They have a silver premium for $49,500 with 120 miles. https://www.toyotawc.com/inventory/used

Good luck and post when you pick it up.

I believe that one is a demo and has been registered essentially sold as used. They also have a brand new base in silver with the optional 8.8” touch infotainment for grand more. Silver is my least favorite but if someone negotiates it down to $47k + tax, they may let that one go.

Might have to go check it out this weekend when I drop my T4R in for a recall just for grins.

deerfield beach offered a test drive then backed off insisting that i bring in a car that i wasn't going to sell to them. never had any luck with those folks - its all bullshit pricing. earl stewart let me test drive and insisted i drive the one with the color i expressed interest in. they go about $1k below msrp no negotiated straight up price - very simple.

no total is given and your last line is chopped - is that $500 off for loyalty?

I think the biggest variable will be when owners purchased theirs. Months ago, $1k under msrp, was a pretty decent price. Now though, if you aren't getting at least $3-4k off (or more), you aren't really getting a good price.

Where are you seeing 3 to 4K off on a regular basis?

Probably should had led with you get a TMC discount
Still only dealer cost (~$50k for the Premium) in most cases unless you have special perks (—I might know someone with those :)).

His wife may be high up enough and/or know someone that makes such things possible however, but $45k out the door is definitely a steep discount.

I live in Oklahoma. One of our local dealerships is trying to sell theirs for $3500 off. They have 4 in stock. We have a couple other local dealerships who are asking for msrp. But, they have had their cars for 83, 42, 59, 227, 80, and 53 days. Personally if I were them, I would look at lowering their price.

These are just a few other dealerships (images below) I have made contact with. For the most part, it is fairly easy to get $3-4k off now. Even one of my local dealerships are advertising at msrp, but they are willing to price match the $3-4k off. But to answer your question, usually you will see $3-4k off in your "flyover" type states.

When you look at the numbers, Supra sales are pretty bad. Their best month was of course in August. But sales have decreased each month after. I do not believe the February sales numbers have been released yet. But January was the worst month so far with a 47% decline when compared to August.

There is just plenty of inventory right now, and the 2021's will be arriving in a couple of months. Toyota has averaged around 400 Supras a month. And it looks like there is around 1600 currently available (new) in the US. That is around 4 months worth of supply, available for purchase. You generally only want around 2 months worth of supply out there. Supply has currently exceeded demand IMO. And this has contributed to the $3-4k off.

Yes, I don't think the demand has quite met what Toyota was expecting. Will be interesting to see how it goes after a few years.
