Looking into catted downpipes right now since I live in Cali. Anyone got a recommendations? As of right now, the popular ones are AFE and Active Autowerke. I’d prefer ones that don’t throw a CEL too and most likely going to pair the downpipe with a tune.

I second this. Go with the Active Autowerke catted downpipe. I'm running mine with the stock calibration with a JB4 on top. No CEL.

We also vouch for Active Autowerke's downpipes! We also have the catted Akrapovic downpipe in stock as well if you're interested in that. We could also special order the Kooks catted downpipes.

Let us know if you would like pricing on any system.

I was close to posting up the same question. Curious what the actual rwhp diff is between catted/non
...and the gain over stock CAT.

We will testing catted Vs non in April. We are testing catless vs stock tomorrow.

Really eager to see these results...I was wondering how much a catless downpipe really adds to performance when both are optimally tuned...

Really like my AFE catted pipe. Seems to have very good quality welds with a simple install. Sounds pretty loud with Bootmod3 stage 2, 93 octane. The GTR start-up sounds pretty mean inside my garage! Scares people around town, when you downshift. Would not go any louder. Normal mode still sounds pretty quiet much like stock, when you need it.

I think for California, even catted downpipes are not CARB compliant.
