Greetings! We are close to wrapping up our Stage 1 calibration for the 2021 Supra. Our test car is 100% stock with the except of our ECU flash. Running on 91oct Shell gasoline. Purposely limiting torque to ~450lbft for the purpose of drivability. But this can be adjusted upwards easily if the customer wishes. Power delivery is nice and consistent. Partial throttle boost isn't jumpy or uneven. It just drives like a useable sports car that just happens to make nearly 425whp. All pulls done in 5th gear in dyno mode. I suspect we will be done with our Stage 1 gasoline tune in the next couple off weeks. Then we will be wrap up the E40 calibration and show the results :)

Very nice. 93 numbers should be nice and hopefully there will be some decent numbers for us 2020 guys, of course not expecting the same as the 2021 cars.

Those are actually on 91. Even more impressive.

Openflash, can you compare to a '20 supra with just your tune as well? Would like to know if it narrows the gap?

Best regards,
Dave

Yeah, that’s about half of buying experience.

A little disappointed this thread had gone dark.

Anyone know the status on this? How does this tune work if the 2021s ECU are locked? Unless they were fortunate enough to have their test car 2021 supra ECU dated prior to 6/1/2020.

Their test car has an ECU produced before 06/01/2020. We all use the same tools behind the scenes to do our development and have the same unlock ability.

Gotcha, ya I had a feeling it was a 2021 with ECU date before that. Marin do you have any prediction on how long it will take for someone to be able to unlock these ECUs? I am still in the break in period on my 21 Supra and once broken in properly , I was either going to wait for this ECU stuff to be resolved , given the fact it does taken a year or more, or if it ends up being that way then I am stuck with getting a JB4 ?

I wish i had more information. However the teams I work with that try to work on this haven't given me any new updates. I'll check back in a few weeks but it could be 2-3 months, could be 12 months.

What I will say is that other ecu's in other cars are starting to pop up. I am researching a new platform we want to start working on and there is a small chance it also got this new ecu update. Which is good for all of us because that puts more of a bounty on the solution. =)
