  1. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

The fuel-starve experience disparity is interesting. CMP's "carousel" is a right hand double-apex (which this car does very well if you set up the line correctly - something I struggle with) which sounds prime to experience the issue, but having run down to 1/4 or less few times I've never once...

? Yes, terrible fuel quality. Either use the pumps at CMP or drive 5 min down the road to Kershaw. My MO was start with a full tank, run 2 sessions and then fill up.
  3. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

I would definitely go that route next, but I'm in the process of selling the car (don't ban me ☠)... That said, it will be formally campaigned by the next owner, which will be super cool. I'll probably be back with a 6sp when they're reasonably attainable, though. RE: Fuel Starvation...

Right, braking power is generally fine for me. It's the feel/feedback (or lack thereof) but also the amount of physical pedal pressure required vs others. With one exception I've always found 'just a little bit more' but it required getting into the pedal HARD. I'm running Endless fluid...

11 track days 2 sets of front pads (fronts have maybe a day left in them) but still on the same set of rear pads. I also run with one-click off and do not feel the TC is overly intrusive; you can still loop the car if you're being careless/over-driving. Everything on is VERY intrusive but...

There are lots of rumors about the ZR1, Zora, etc.. mostly around forced induction. I think the LT6 E-Ray would sit in between the current offerings and Zora or ZR1 but obviously all just speculation.
  11. Michelin pilot sport cup 2s

I'm running the RE-71RS and they've been a great multi-purpose street/track tire. I drove 180 miles in a torrential downpour to VIR, ran all weekend and then back home in 40° weather. Treadwear has been great for a 200TW, IMO. I'm running the Continental ExtremeContact Force on both of my...

CCBs are standard equipment. Awesome for the street but man the consumable costs on track are stomach churning. One of the reasons I didn't get another ZR1 or the Z07 package. I hope they build an E-Ray with the LT6. The supplemental TQ from the electric motor along with the 8600RPM...

RE: E-ray -- MT's weight numbers don't jive with what I would consider a mildly more credible source, which has them at more palatable: 3,774 coupe 3,856 HTC I am not a fan of the body-colored accents but that's a trivial fix. What a time to be alive when it and the Z06 become reasonably...
  15. What cars do you regret getting rid of?

2009 Corvette ZR1 Went 10.6 @ 130 with just radials and no cats. 10.1 @ 138MPH with a LPE snout and 2.6" pulley. The only car I've sold where I entertain the notion of 'regret'.
  16. Targa Top Prediction

I wish I may, I wish I might, Have this wish I wish tonight... I've owned like a dozen+ Targa or T-top cars and every single one stowed the roof. It's an essential requirement. There's maybe 1 or 2 cars in the last 25 years that didn't have a storage provision.

I'd love to get up to Dominion some time this year! One of the C8s I run with swears by the Hawk DTC pads and has never had any issues. My other acquaintance tried a few Carbotech options and eventually went back to the stock pads. His feedback was he would get 'brake over temp' warnings...
  18. Targa Top Prediction

Absolutely no major manufacturer, let alone their marketing dept is going to take a gamble on an impractical, non-storable removable roof today. They would get eviscerated in the court of public opinion and it would be a social media 'influencer' feeding frenzy. Not happening no matter how...
