Makes sense. It was my second drive after pulling out of storage. Brought tank to near empty put new gas , drove 20kms, no issues but code came back on start up. I've stored all my cars for extended periods, c5 z06, type R, never had issues. German things I guess :)
Thanks,
I only have a jb+, easy to remove. Tried to search everywhere about this and its definitely evap related. Could even be gas cap related. My BMW friends tell me it's my fault for not driving the car enough. Life of a garage queen. Lol
Any idea what this code is? Cleared it once. Drove miles then it came back when I started the car up in sport mode. Car only has a jb+. Anyone had this code before?
So why does JB4 have a WG control sensor? BMS updated all the JB4 modules to have this new addition. It's there for a reason. :)
It has to have some sort of added value when it comes to power delivery or smoothness/drivability.
It shouldn't have any issues, JB+ is a fancy boost controller, DP just lets exhaust and turbo breathe better. Only thing is that JB+ unlike JB4, doesn't have any WG control. This is the only place I can picture potential issues... issues such as throttle smoothness or opening/closing of WG...
Max is 4 or 5 o'clock. It's the last setting. You can't turn the dial anymore.
I ran my Supra stock with lowering springs 12.2 @117, no launch control, 12.00 flat @ 120 with JB+ at default setting. Haven't tried yet with max. But when I return to the track i'll will have a AA catted DP...
I'm using max level with Petro 94. No issues. Pulls really nice. Last year I ran it at the track on default settings. I'll be installing the AA catted DP later this month too. As I mentally and financially prepare myself to send the ECU out to Femto towards the end of the summer, lol
EDIT...
Great info. So keep TC fully off even when ripping down track? Would it be a bad idea to put it back into sport traction to prevent it from getting loosey-goosey half way down the strip?
What actually happens if the ecu gets lost, damaged, bricked by FEMTO or by transport? Insurance will cover the cost of the ecu but i'm certain it doesn't end there.
I suspect it's not a plug and play process. Dealership would need to code the keys, process, register, possible new keys? That's...
Why would it decline? Not everyone wants a full unlock and ECUTEK to run 8's. Like myself many are totally satisfied with a partial unlock BMT3 and MHD OTS maps.
In most to all DCT autos you can press both paddles at the same time and go into neutral. For what purpose? That's up the driver. Even BMW DCT has this.

EDIT: My statement was never meant to prove that the ZF has or "should" have this...
I ran 12.2 @117mph on bone stock 2021. With JB+ at default 3 o'clock position, ran 12.0 @ 120. I'll run it at max setting this season and see what it nets.
Also running JB+ On my 2021 locked ecu. Just FYI, I ran 12.2 @117 bone, bone stock. After JB+ install ran 12.00 @ 121. Same track conditions, with dial at stock position. I have it cranked now at 4.5 so waiting for car season to start. :D
It's worth it 100%. This season i'm adding a CAI and...
