None of them are confirmed to be A91 models. My friend at a dealership is getting 3 of the 400, none are A91.
They're going on sale end of June, beginning of July.
Wouldn't the $200k GT4 already be the Clubsport version?
Think the GRMN will be the M3/4 version of the Supra. More aggressive looks and a more powerful engine than the regular 3/4 series. But inside not much different.
I hope they'll name it the 3000GT.
If the "heroes fund" passes and every essential worker gets a $10k bonus those could all be sold in 2 months :p
The current economy just is what it is. Every manufacturer has 1000's upon 1000's of vehicles sitting doing nothing all over the world. New car sales are down 86% last I heard.
I think the 4 cylinder is too high personally. A lot of shoppers will be looking at horsepower per dollar and you can get more for less. Civic Type R, STI, Golf R, all start in the mid 30's and all produce 300+ horsepower. The 4 cylinder Supra at $43k will only attract buyers that only want a...
There is probably no increase. The $50,990 is including the $1000 shipping cost. The 2020 is $49,990 but they tack on $955 before it even gets here.
But if it is $1000 more for the base to begin with, that's still not bad because you get the larger screen in the interior etc which cost extra in...
No I like the all black ones. I'm ok keeping them on the car for a while. Maybe put a winter set of tires on them and buy another set of wheels for summer.
Yeah who knows what their reasons are lol. I don't mind the Supra being an auto. I understand why others would though. I just want to see what wing the GRMN gets.
Good points. But I think the new STI will have a DCT/auto coming in the new one. It's getting slaughtered in performance. And as far as Honda goes, the NSX is the halo car, which doesn't have a manual.
I think the 4 cylinder Supra should at least have a manual option. There's no reason not to.
The difference is the M3/4 isn't a halo car. The Supra is. If BMW puts a manual in their M8 Competition that would be comparable since both cars are flagships.
Edit: just looked up the GT4, I had no idea it was manual only lol. But there's talk of a GT4 RS coming. I wonder if that will be PDK only.
5.4 seconds to 60 for the Type R vs 3.9 seconds for the Supra....
I love the Type R, but come on now lol.
It's always fun to read the obviously biased articles. I can't wait to drive a Supra on the track.
They're definitely not putting a manual in the car that's supposed to be faster. Better chance would be to get a manual in the regular 3.0 before the GRMN gets it. If ever. Simple truth is performance numbers sells more cars than manuals do. That's why the C8 Corvette doesn't even get one. And...
I'm the same way. I do mostly cosmetic stuff. Wheels, springs, catback, tint. Some interior stuff like start button swap, maybe some footwell lights. That's about it.
Agreed 100% another thing I'm happy about is the solid black LE wheels. I like the design but that half polished, half black look is just awful. I forgot about the seats having Alcantara in the center. That's good for track days. Grippier than leather.
