If you do use a flathead screwdriver, you want to orient it so it's pointed fore/aft instead of up and down. That'll keep it from slipping between the coils of the spring.
All it takes is a small common screwdriver and a small torx bit (I forget the size). I swapped mine just last weekend, it took around 5-10 minutes. There are plenty of videos online to show you the process.
The green seems a little small for this platform to me, it’ll be nice to see the results though. I am looking forward to a red or black if they come out with those, that seems like it’d be a great alternative to Pure’s options.
The fittings have changed since I installed mine, but I’m pretty sure that’s an adapter since the ethanol sensor has a different pipe size than the Supra hardline
I was on Kauai this summer for about two weeks and saw a white Supra driving down the Kaumualii Highway at one point. I tried to wave, but I was in a shitty Chevy Impala rental so they probably just thought I was a crazy person.
Why would it shift at <6k at WOT?
So far I’m not really seeing anything out of the ordinary other than it not downshifting when you hit the gas at 3k, which maybe it’s deciding not to do for traction reasons.
From what I understand, the sensor is very accurate, but you need to read the CAN bus to get the real value. The “measurements” on the little menu system are very coarse though.
