As of right now the only info that pops up is the GPS when using it for directions. I wish it had a menu that you could cycle through to display whatever info you choose to look at. Definitely wasted real estate on the dash. To my knowledge Bimmercode doesn't do anything for that area...

Lol. You are absolutely correct. I was browsing online for something else and it mentioned footwell lights so I posted up on here before I thought about it. I totally forgot that wasn't an option for US cars.

What about just tapping into the existing courtesy lights in the footwells and rear cargo area? If your installing LED, I doubt it would overload the circuit.
