Congrats on the purchase! I know what you mean, my brother is super anxious to break it in for 1k miles. It’s fun as hell to drive...never thought it would be this good. Toyota made a believer out of us.
My brother just got a 2021 Nocturnal Black Supra 3.0 Premium. Its a beautiful car, im truly happy he got it, and it’s a head turner. He plans on going big on power....so we will post mods as they happen. Here she is:
Right, and that NISMO is using an outdated V6. With the VR30DDTT, it will be pricey. If Nissan pulls off a TT 6spd Japan-built Z for under $50k, they will sell like crazy!
I don’t think the Z’s interior will match the MKV’s, but if it does....it won’t cost $45k. If they make a base model with cloth seats and 350Z plastics, them maybe. To rival the MKV (overall), the new Z will not only need to have the muscle under the hood, it will need a proper interior. For...
Although I am a HUGE Nissan and Z fan (owned quite a few Z’s actually)....a ~$45k Twin Turbo Z making 400hp with that modern of an interior, all while being built in Japan....something’s gotta give. Let’s hope the reliability/durability department isn’t “defunded” with this new management like...
Based on the 370Z prototype they were testing with the "400Z" mechanicals at Nurburgring, the front bumper had several "open" holes. I am assuming for either brake ducting or possibly twin intercoolers. There were rumors that although the engine is the same as the Infiniti's, the intercooler...
When we start seeing future Z’s with TWO HUGE upgraded snails strapped to them, people will quickly forget the topic of looks and styling.
I wanna know more details about the engine, trans, and diff.
I don’t mind too much that it’s based on the existing Z platform tbh. The only thing the existing Z lacked (in my opinion) was a turbo motor and bigger brakes, which the upcoming car looks like it will have. The rest are bonuses. AMS has had some amazing results with the VR30DDTT, and...
The fact that Toyota is testing a manual is great! This at least let’s us know they haven’t completely flushed the idea. Hope they come up with a good solution....a good “beefy” solution.
Word is, the manual transmission testing is not going very well :hmm:. Exec's not giving thumbs up (yet) because testing is not meeting strict Toyota quality standards. Not sure if this means mechanical, noise(s), feel, etc...:dunno: Will share more as I find out.
Thanks, yeah I already added the TRD PRO oem bed inserts and wireless charger inside....hehe. I ordered the Eaton front and rear lockers and am trying to source the oem diff lock buttons with the blue lights when engaged. In the long haul, I will look at getting the Harrop Supercharger....but...
With future projects ;) coming up, it was time for a "big boy" truck to help haul and tow things around.
I came across a brand new 2020 Tundra TRD Pro at a nearby Toyota dealership....literally arrived that morning. Took it for a test drive and loved it. I had previously test driven the...
My experience driving both the MKIV and MKV one after the other was that the MKV was obviously faster and more comfortable than the MKIV...but also very very refined for high speed driving. The MKIV (if your not 100% focused on the road) can whip it's rear end very quickly under hard...
