This! I have said in the past that they should have kept the 332hp B58 around as a base model. Give it the spring suspension, mechanical diff, manual seats from the 2.0, and call it a day.
People need to stop comparing this to A80's lifecycle. 6 to 7 years is typical of past BMW Zs. Also, normally a facelift happens towards the end of the car's lifecycle. We still have like 3 years to go lol.
I'm not the biggest fan of the 4 banger, but most people can't tell the differences between the NA and turbo A70 and A80. With that said it seems that Tada-san did want to further differentiate the two, but due to timing and the fact that testing on the B48 only started halfway into the product...
Not sure, I haven't personally sat in one but all of the people that have did not complain. Granted, they were both pre-production cars and performance trims.
