I would try to flash the car with MHD first before buying the unlocker. It will just fail to flash anything if it needs to be unlocked. Kind of hard to brick the DME on these to be honest.
The unlocker will know if the DME is locked or not. Won't mess anything up.
Hardest part of the unlocker...
Bro, you are just talking gibberish bullshit. Say less.
I know you are trying to help, but just stop. Very little moments where you have actually helped in a situation like this, other than wax poetic about something theoretically that you might have done in some past moment that may or may not...
I talked a lot of shit about the G series M2 when it came out but it's starting to grow on me.
Getting basically 700whp with just a tune, E40 fuel, and NO part changes (still with all four OEM cats) is hard to deny as well.
The drop ship vendor bois with their ChatGPT posts are really the ones ruining our world.
I would however take that over the countless braindead fukboi oil questions.
Bootmod connectivity absolutely sucks and has through years and tons of updates. They choose to deny it or even blame the end user. Their mobile app is trash and they somehow break it every other update. It’s super frustrating and has pushed me to move to MHD after using Bootmod3 for years, even...
If you are technically inclined then you should have no issue with a bench unlock. The Mission unlocker is $350. However, it sounds like you might not even need it.
Which dongle do you have?
That's actually not true. Mine was not locked until I updated the DME via ISTEP, then I had to bench unlock it. If a 2020 is out there that never went to the dealer(or performed by the owner) for an update, it is not locked.
Here, very clear since a ton of people on this form are ego driven shits or just make shit up out of the air (I'm sure some idiot will try to correct something in this post):
- Any DME that has a date after June 2020 needs to go to FEMTO overseas for a full unlock
- Any DME that has a date...
