The Michelins will probably be fine on those wheels, but as the chart above shows, the wheel sizes you have in mind aren't ideal for the width of tire you plan on using. The tires will mount on the wheels without issues and probably be safe to drive but if you move to a more aggressive tire model that runs wider in the future, I would recommend wider wheels to better support the sidewalls of the tire.

Yeah I understand and it is duly noted. I still want to keep a staggered setup so getting a 18x9.5 & 18x10.5 wheel set is still another option with the same tires! Appreciate it very much:) Thank you

Thank you @nibble for the pix. So this is almost the same setup I have in mind. 18x10+38 with 14mm spacer. I’ll poke 1mm more than yours but that would be marginal. I plan to lower the car and negative camber might do the trick for additional clearances. Do you think your stock ride height is too low for street?

I think Stock height is almost right on on streets of NY/NJ area.. it could be higher in this area but that would be SUV height.. :( If I could, most aggressive height I'd lower is, 1/2" but no one makes that setup..

Here is stock suspension, Conti ECF 275/35/18 on 18x10 ET30 SM-10. Two pictures; one is no spacer and one is with 5mm spacer. Used a 5mm spacer to give some extra leeway for tire deflection.

Thanks for the feedback and photos. I'm curious to hear how the ECFs wear over time. A few of us at APEX are considering those tires for the upcoming season as a new harder wearing option instead of the RS-4.

OP edited to include your notes and images. If anyone else has clearance data for us using other tire fitments/models and photos please post that info here and I can get the OP updated!

Interested when/if the VS-5RS group buy comes in this size. How is the front clearance with the 2.0 springs? Can I run the rear 275/40 OE Michelin PSS in front with 2.0 original suspension?

I know 40 is taller but the michelin 275 looks narrow IMO compared to some tire models.

The current Group Buy is only for 19" VS-5RS Supra fitments and 19" fitments in general. It doesn't include the 18x10 ET30 wheel although we may produce this size in our VS-5RS design in the future.

We haven't tested clearances on a 2.0 Supra so I don't have solid on-car data for you, but I imagine the spring perch design and spring diameter in the lower section are broadly similar if not identical to the 3.0 models.

We haven't tested the OE Michelin rears up front, but michelins do tend to have square "shoulders" on the sidewall that can make them fit wider than other street tires. I would suspect a 3mm or 5mm spacer would be needed with this fitment, but would need to test it on a car to be sure.

I can be patient?

Although if they don't come this year may get a set of 4 new tire.

Thought about putting the original 18x10 rear wheel on the front to see how it fits but that one is ET40 and I doubt there will be 10 mm clearance lol... I don't have a 10 mm spacer handy

That table, like all of our other tables, is subject to change. I'll certainly be working on getting them made in 18s hopefully by the end of the year, but the timetable is still up in the air. I will get the table updated with the more accurate dates for the 19s as well.

Do you happen to have any pictures of your car with this setup? Would love to go this route but I'm concerned how it would look since I'm on stock suspension height. Thanks!

Different tire but same wheels, stock suspension. These are Goodyear SC3 275/40/18 with a front spacer
