Using BimmerLink I’m seeing 17-18lbs of peak boost. I understood stock peak to be around 14. Did I miss something? I bought the car used with 2700 miles on it.
No issues whatsoever. Runs very strong.

Ecu is load/torque based so boost will be different in different weather conditions.

Example, on a cold day, 500nm might need 14psi to produce. On a warm day, it might need 17psi.

I've seen 16-17psi on my 100% stock un-tuned 2020.

I've certainly seen "peak" boost there before, but it usually tapers off a bit as you get into the upper rev range.

EDIT: And yeah, the ambient air is less dense at higher temperatures, so it will vary a bit as the computer tries to find the sweet spot for the conditions presented.

Yes you can log boost with Bimmerlink.
thank you. I will look it up and get some logs posted in the next couple days.

I test drove a 2021 before I drove this one. This 2020 felt noticeably faster with instant low end grunt and pulled consistently harder to 6500.
I picked the 2020 to tune it. Hypothetically, if it’s currently tuned, how does that affect my future tuning plans?

Probably chargepipe boost, I'm surprised it's not higher, honestly. Does is stay that high or does it bounce around?
It doesn’t bounce, I’ve seen that in my Subaru’s. I do have an FTP charge pipe and intake pipe with an HKS drop in filter.

If your 2020 pulls harder up top than 21+, I bet it's tuned. 21+ has like 40whp extra over the 2020 after 5k, stock for stock.
