Interesting qualy. Happy to see Mick make it into Q2.
I suspect Lewis will end up winning despite starting from 10 places back, he has a lot of pace.
Ferrari are looking much better since the power unit upgrade.
Agreed. I do think Lewis will take the win here unless there's an incident that takes him out prematurely. Sad to see McLaren struggle (I'm a fan), with Danny Ric going out of quali early and Norris not as high as he normally is on the grid.

Love that white Red Bull, though!

Yeah the Mercedes is great on this track. The deficit to Red Bull is too big here, so it should be an easy race for Hamilton. Just as he likes it, without competition and his teammate ordered to let him past

Iā€™m really kinda bummed that Honda is leaving F1 for the time being, even my girlfriend asked me today if I was sad over Honda leaving.

Excellent result. Max starts from the back, P2. The "goat" starts from P11 in clearly the fastest car this weekend, gets a freebie from a spinning Alonso, and the Gastly penalty, or he'd be ahead too, and manages P6. And as a bonus we get the obligatory crying on the last few laps.

Lol.
I'm happy with this race overall.
Red Bull 2/3 with a Bottas win.
Carlos coming from the back to getting in the points was nice.
Leclerc had a go at the front.

Really great race from a strategy perspective. Lots of tough calls.
And how about that Sergio/Lewis bout...great stuff.

I wonder if the bumps at COTA will be an issue for F1 like it was two weeks for MotoGP.

Apparently they were cutting down the bumps a bit for the f1 race but I feel like that still wonā€™t do much

Man, edge of my seat for the end there. Sergio just caught a bit a rain at the end. I think he was on pace to take P2 from Lewis.

I gotta give props to Antonio. To spin at the end of Q1 and still make it into Q2 was a great effort.

Great session. Fully expect Hamilton to try and ram Max off again like Silverstone. He's getting desperate, you can tell by the body language stepping out of the car. First few corners will be very exciting. If Checo can jump Hamilton at the start, we're in for a treat.

I like that we finally found a formula for tight racingā€”only to blow up the rules next year ?

Always happens. One team is unbeatable for years, as soon as the others come close, the rules change.

Man that race was insane to watch in person.
Itā€™s a great atmosphere, right? Iā€™ve been three times, including to the inaugural one, and every year, itā€™s been a lot of fun. Iā€™ve been to races in a few other countries too but I think I like Austin the best.
