2021 Supra Exhaust Thread

If I had to put them on a scale:

Fully Stock: 3/10
AWE + Stock DP: 4.5/10
AWE + AA Catted DP: 7/10
AWE + Catless DP = 9/10

The key thing with this combo is there is no rasp at all, and no drone, it is a very clean I6 sound. It is dumb loud at cold startup, quiets down to nominal levels at idle, and really gets loud again right around 3k RPM through redline. You will get the gunshot type burble on downshift when the engine is warm and you're downshifting under load.

Based on your stock vs catback scale. I 100% agree with that. My catback alone is very subtle. Really hoping that adding the aa catted DP would sound that much better!

Great thread! I'd only add that the Non-Resonated Touring would bump those numbers up a bit. For guys not considering a DP, or maybe a Catted DP and ok with a little interior volume bump, I'd add 1 to those numbers. The Res Touring sounds the best with a DP for sure. It's a little on the reserved side otherwise.

- Active Autowerke Catted DP
- Borla Atak Catback Exhaust
Installed tomorrow (Tuesday) on my A91.
I can upload a sound clip once it’s done.
Would be fun to hear the comparison without the DP from freeform911’s.

I guess you've found out at this point? I love that system configuration. It's solid, and definitely loud when you get on it... but I don't think it's obnoxious. Interior comfort is still reasonable at most speeds.

Yeah...already installed....my daughter LOVES it...
Not sure about the neighbors on cold start...but oh well..haha..
As you said not obnoxious...

some of you mentioning valves, so the stock supra has a valve that opens at wot or in sport mode? where is it? like in the cat back area or before? just checked my ecu date and its 03/16 so im looking at options now

It's by the right side exhaust tip.

Boostlogic DP with the Boostlogic Titanium Exhaust is the way to go! It’s like music you can feel in your soul!!! Videos and sound clips doesn’t do it justice!
