$70.5k at the dealer
If I were to purchase the same spec Supra from the same dealer, I would expect to pay $70.5k CAD, the $20k CAD is to pass up the waiting period? So I would be paying a $20k mark up to skip out on the waiting period as well as giving you my Supra (pretty much)? Or am I interoperating this differently? I'm getting myself confused.

Someone just find out this guy's dealership and outbid him on the same car? Not sure how Canada works, but there's no "ordering" in the US. The car can go to anybody until paperwork is signed.

Lol I don’t get why you’re so salty, read the OP. This is normal in the Toronto car market right now.

Guy is in Cali getting upset over a post in Canada. Enjoy your car and stay off this post wasting our time.
you live in Oshawa not Toronto calm down LOL

If the 2020 is worth 60,000CAD you would be missing out on the trade in value as well. So instead of you giving the dealer your car and 10000 ish CAD plus tax, you now give your $60000 car to someone else plus $20000 cash PLUS you have to pay the dealer $70500 plus tax. Trade in and you are out of pocket a little more than $10000. Give your car plus cash to someone for an allocation AND pay the dealer $70500? You are effectively out $60000+$20000+$70500 (plus tax) for a total of $150000!

I don’t think the OP was asking for the car and cash for the allocation. Just the cash and then agreeing to buy the car.

This gets my vote as the dumbest thread of 2023. And even though it's only April, I'm pretty sure this will stand as the dumbest thread for the entire year.
I second your vote. I am hoping crypto or NFTs somehow get looped into this deal.

LOL the amount of salty mfs here and idiots saying it is a scam is beyond me...

For all you numb nuts:

1) We go to the dealer and sign the paperwork into the new buyers name.
2) Pay me $20k CAD to skip the 1.5-2 year wait time right now.
3) I buy your 2020 GR depending on what spec/mods you have (not too picky)
4) You get a brand new 6MT next month at MSRP ($70.5k CAD) and I take your 2020 Supra off your hands.

If you want to complain about markups etc, take your sorry to the corner and cry about it.
Bruh, I waited 4 months for mine, why would anyone pay depreciation + taxes.... twice lmao

And just like that OP is Banned lol. Ya, this was a shit show from the start. As an A91 MT Owner, I can happily say this car is worth its MSRP, I love it, It has been a super fun car (issues aside) and a big improvement over my 2020, especially in the handling and steering department and the 6 port motor is far superior, but in no way is this an 80K car, nor is it worth waiting 2 years for. It is a good car but is no better than anything you can get with a Porsche badge around the money some dealers were asking ($80/90k) Truth is the truth. If I had the budget, I would be in a 981 GT4 no questions asked.

Wow banned ? People just want to help other Supra owners is my take of this whole forum. Simply didn’t fit the theme on here. Good job moderators ??
