That's cool. I use my decade old Metrovac for bikes on my cars. Works great, but I bet the newer ones are brushless motors for even more power.

I use one of these. It's not perfect but it does the job fairly well. A 4AH battery gets the whole car pretty much done on one charge too.

I have the largest one that they sell and works super good. I had either the 600 or 650CFM one before I went over to the highest 730CFM blower and it works great. Still have to do a little hand drying but it really helps get a lot of the water out of the creviced areas like the mirrors/doors/hatch.

~ those seem cumbersome to me. i guess it's what you get use to.

the compact size of the smaller unit with a flexible rubber tip is great imo.

I wouldn't mind something small but I just feel like there would not be nearly enough power behind it. I suppose it does help a ton if the vehicle is ceramic coated as the water will run off a lot easier and wouldn't need quite as much blowing power

Wow an amazing price at only $35 for this handy blower! I use it to eliminate the annoying water drips after a wash. Works great on the wheels and crevices in the interior. A real time saver. A must have for me and the cars.

No affiliation with seller.

Looks to be discontinued with varying reviews... Chemical Guys website seems to have removed all traces of it...

Just FYI!

I use this and I’d recommend it: https://a.co/d/guaHBnd

The only downside is the battery life. Usually dead after one use but it’s better than the alternatives I’ve used. Use a squeegee for the glass though

I find that the Ryobi I linked to has enough power although it's power does wane significantly as you use it - If you are using a battery less than 4AH you're going to be disappointed.

And I think you hit on the key: if your car isn't ceramic coated, all bets are off. I never used to be a believer in ceramic coatings but boy do they make keeping your car clean much easier! I like to keep my car spotless but with a ceramic coating I get away with just rinsing (with a high pressure washer) and drying it in between proper washes.

Beyond that I might use a quick detailer to remove any bugs I collect after a drive and give my windscreen a quick wipe with a window cleaner.

Heard it takes two weeks to charge that Ryobi though.
Can't tell if you are taking the piss or not.. but, my one takes a few hours.. I usually just leave it overnight.

Just got my hands on a 730 cfm one. 4Ah dies fast. Got 2. Will try it soon on the car as well.
