I’ve owned my A91 for about 6 months and I just noticed that the driver side stripe is not placed correctly.

Anybody else seen this?

I also have a small spot on the same stripe where the matte finish is rubbed off. I assumed I did that while washing a while back but now I’m not so sure.

I suggest you don’t look too carefully at this car because you will find all sorts of imperfections. It’s not a Toyota, but a fairly typical poor fit and finish Euro car.

This is the same on my Golf-R. I call these imperfections “what gives the car character” otherwise known as “junk”. :hmm:

I prefer the former..

Hey Rome, yeah both stripes on that side are offset. I would just order a new one and have Metropolitan Detail install it. The dealership won’t do much about it.

Hmmm. I didn't know the A91 stripes were cut short of the rear glass like that. I made my own and overlapped them over the edge.

Also, I'm actually impressed at the "imperfections" on this car. Especially after riding in my friend's Model S. Tesla has Panama Canal-sized panel gaps and creaks like a wooden rollercoaster. My '20 Supra feels like a Bentley by comparison. Maybe I'm just lucky...:dunno:

When I first got my Model 3 Performance in 2018 I noticed I had no trunk lights. I thought that was a hell of a way to save money until I looked at my dad’s and realized his did. I looked closer and mine were simply not connected, wires just hanging on back there. I had to pull the trunk trim apart and connect them myself.

Made me go outside to check both Supras. Lol ?? the blue ones are factory placement, the yellow i personally put myself. I feel good about myself now lol. Both are toyota stripes pn# PT929-C1210-01
Hopefully once this becomes mainstream, they can scrap the horrible template they use along with couldn't-care-less labor and quality checkers.

I also installed my aftermarket stripes like this. Ran it all the way to the edge. I never saw a factory application so had no idea they left a gap like that. No offense to anyone out there but that just looks silly to me.

For reference, here's the spacing and alignment of the stripes on both sides of my A91.

From what I can tell, the measurements look consistent throughout both stripes on both sides.

To my knowledge, the A91s were delivered from Austria to the US ports without the stripes, rear spoiler, or the carbon fiber mirror caps. The A91 add-ons are installed at the port by the installers which can lead to a variation in quality control.
