I never had a problem with my AA dp until about 10k miles of driving. Cel popped up and my mechanic found a leak. I was able to clear the code with an obd reader but it eventually came up since I was not tuned. I got a new dp from AA but had to unfortunately pay to uninstall and install. Since yours is new maybe just the O2 is loose?

I would check a few things.

check for leaks
make sure you installed the gasket between the DP and the Turbo
Are both O2 sensors plugged in all the way
Did you accidentally swap the O2 sensors (Upstream/Downstream)

After doing all the checks above and the CEL is still there, I'd contact AA if it's brand new to see if they'll swap it out for a new one under warranty.

If it's used, they had a batch of defective DPs a while back so I would contact AA to see if your DP serial number was part of that batch.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure how they would handle the situation if this is second-hand because the previous owner could've messed up the cat with things like aggressive burble tunes or something like that.

GL!

What year car? I have a 23 with a jb4. I get a cel after about 2 or 3 days also. I've replaced the cat through them but still keep getting them.
Maybe the 23s are a bit more picky?

Been running the AA catted downpipe for a month now on my 23 A91 MT, no issues so far. Even took it on some canyon runs. Would definitely contact AA for support.

We haven't had any issues with clients with 2023s, I would contact AA direct as well.

This recently happened to me too dude. When I read the code w/ my JB4 it says it detects a catLESS dp... like wtf? So I told them, & they said they see it from time to time. Anyway, they told me to clear it & if it comes back to get in touch w/ them again. 3 days went by & then it came back, so I'll be reaching out to them on Monday

Was there a break-in instruction included? My instruction said to run the engine for 10 minutes after the install, followed by revving the engine to 2500 RPM for 2 minutes, and go easy for the first 5 miles after the install. I hope I don't get the CEL, but just wanted to make sure there was some sort of break-in steps that were followed on your end.

1- follow the break-in procedure

2- if it's within the first 100 miles that normal and expected

3- if you followed step 1 and its been over 100 miles, contact Active Autowerke and they will replace the downpipe

So I ran procedure again and 3 trips ~80 miles without a cel.
