another Sparco here.
Function of how much weight you want to save, your size, etc.

100% sit in a bunch. At track days and events i would ask to sit in people's cars.

I second the instruction. Thought i was doing pretty well- i'm fast- i pass most people- etc. Got a chance to have a former F1 driver instruct me. Racing around thinking man he is quiet he must be impressed!! after 2 laps he told me to pull into the pit and then nicely went through a checklist of everything i was doing wrong! lol humbling but some really good stuff!

OMP here. I have had TRS-E, HTE-R, and HRC-R in my previous track car. I probably will not be going full containment/halo in the Supra, because the loss of peripheral visibility is not something I want to entertain in a car I plan to street. Leaning toward the WRC-R.

Nice thing about OMP is they make some big boy seats too. Just need to be mindful of the rails you buy.

I was looking at the WRC-R seats from them as well last night. Seems to match up nicely to what the QRT series offer from Sparco. Have you been able to sit in one?

Edit: It's also wild to me that you can order these on Amazon with free shipping (via Prime) and they would arrive in two days. Delivery driver would hate lugging two of these bad boys to the door (size not weight wise).

Edit edit: Also free returns ?

The Amazon thing is wild. I would not want to be that delivery driver. The box dimensions are similar to a dishwasher lol.

I have not sat in a WRC-R yet. I likely will not get a seat until late next year. I have been putting my money towards braking and wheels/tires.

The OMP WRC-R is the seat I had tried. To me, WAYYYY more comfy than the Sparcos.

Sparco is totally fine on track, but it starts kicking my ass on the drive to/from tracks over 2hrs. I'm also a old man.

This is a very nice OEM+ upgrade. Is there height adjustment as well?
Sort of, I can add or remove spacers on the floor mounts. I have them all the way down as im 6'2" and didnt fit with a helmet in the stock seats. these are about 1.75" lower.

I also am an old man, but with a shit back, so the comfort is a big factor to me. Especially for club days when I may have a lot of seat time. I'll take a serious look at the WRC-R. I really appreciate everyone's input and I'm glad I checked/posted one more time before pulling the trigger on this.

You were neither blunt or an asshole in your response, @razorlab. ❤

My bro went to the shop by Sebring to try out seats! This is a good idea. I may hop a flight down there to hit the shop and stop in to see my brother for a day or two before I pull the trigger. Ultimately, he ended up buying some cheap shit from Summit for his piece of shit race car (I say this in jest - it's an old 280z). It's funny, but since we both make the trip up and down I-75 a lot when we visit each other (I'm in Lexington, KY right off 75 and he's in Tampa, FL right off 75), we always stop to browse along the way. We figure it can't be too much of a delay given the traffic always coming to a stop for absolutely no reason at all around McDonough. ?

Are you doing the PDG track day at Sebring on Jan. 6th?
Unfortunately have to work that weekend ? But doing Homestead 14/15 ??

What ever you do, don't get the Bride seats because they aren't approved for SCCA and you won't be able to track your car with BRIDE seats. Plus, these seats are really meant as "Asian Size", if you know what I mean.
That's false. I have a carbon Zeta IV in mine, FIA approved, and it's fine for all my uses. SCCA TT, Gridlife, GTA and SLB at COTA. I'm sure it'll be fine when I get into some NASA events next year as well.

More on the seat, I'm 5'7 and 180lbs and it fits me well. I've used a Sparco Corsa that I really liked so tried out the Evo in the Supra initially. Didn't offer enough support IMO so went back to Bride. Used a Zeta III in a MK3 Supra I had years ago and loved it. Discontinued now so went with the IV and have no complaints.

Nice! My brother is doing the event and I was thinking about flying down and hanging out with him for the weekend. Enjoy Homestead! Wish we had a winter racing season up here in the frozen north. ?

So many guys are doing the snowbird thing right now. Down here now tracking until April/May, then they head back up north. I definitely want to do that someday (when I retire)!!!! One buddy that is down here now tracking his GT4 has amazing seats. I believe they came stock. I don’t think the 5 point harness did. But still, if I had even more money to burn, that GT4 would be delicious ?.

I’ll get my seats eventually. Just really having a hard time parting with the red leather I sought after so badly. Lame excuse but that’s what I’m going with for now.

Hopefully, will catchup with you soon! On track ??

Good to know. I want to find some that can be height adjusted like an OEM if such a thing does exist, sometimes wife drives car so it matters
