Good to know. I want to find some that can be height adjusted like an OEM if such a thing does exist, sometimes wife drives car so it matters
I’m with ya! My wife tracks too and she knows @DarkZupra’s seats all too well (and his garage, lol). I’ve slowly conditioned her to what a great idea and purchase those seats would be ?. I need to call the company and see how much it’d cost for all red leather and ability for a 5 point harness.

If my 2nd kid doesn’t go to college, I’ve got access to his nice 529 plan ??

So many guys are doing the snowbird thing right now. Down here now tracking until April/May, then they head back up north. I definitely want to do that someday (when I retire)!!!! One buddy that is down here now tracking his GT4 has amazing seats. I believe they came stock. I don’t think the 5 point harness did. But still, if I had even more money to burn, that GT4 would be delicious ?.

you mean one like this??

I’ll get my seats eventually. Just really having a hard time parting with the red leather I sought after so badly. Lame excuse but that’s what I’m going with for now.

Hopefully, will catchup with you soon! On track ??
Maaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnn, I've mentioned it here before, but the GT4 was my first choice in fun cars when I bought the Supra. My theory was, because I know I'm going to crash the car on the track at some point, I would feel like shit binning a GT4. With the Supra, while I'd still feel bad, at half the cost, I'd just replace it with another Supra. Overall, I'm glad I went with this platform, though. It's fun as hell to drive and modify and it's hard to beat the B58 (I've been a BMW fan for a long time). I was hoping to do a little snow birding myself, but we sold a family condo on Longboat Key, FL a couple of years ago... right before I bought the Supra damnit!

Oh we will meet at some point on track... and you will kick my ass. ??

Duuuuude…. I had a really good friend that also had a S2000s. I was tracking way before he put his S2K diapers on and got him driving on track. He was an awful driver, lol. Until he hired John Dean, MX5 cup champ of all time, to teach him how to drive on track. Next thing you know he was the fastest amateur in no time. It was insane!!!!!

When I finally get this car decently setup, I‘m definitely hitting John Dean up to drive with me and get some baselines in this car. If he still does this sort of thing in Sebring. But I know what he’ll say, no matter how well I set up my car, I have to have a real seat. Period! So here I am debating on a pretty seat vs a great functional seat that’ll cost thousands less… ??‍♂

And with you on the GT4. I like to drive my car hard. I’d hate to be worried about running off track, 2-4 wheels, and getting a little dirt on my wheels or undercarriage. Or even breaking something.

Insert tie rod no. 2. At least these parts are accessible and cheap (compared to Porsche).

What? You bent a second one? wtf are you doing man? Why does the wrench surface looks like it was gnawed on by a trash compactor?

Is your alignment guy trying to spin those without loosening the tie rod ends? I would literally LOL if that was the case. Those wrench surfaces are rounded off pretty good. There should be like zero torque needed to spin the rod once the end is loose.

DO they really bend that easily? Is there an upgrade available for beefier tie rods?

I've read through this thread, maybe I'm missing it. I have an old Sparco seat I'm using for the moment. It's side mount, I assume they all are. I have a buddy club sliding rail in my old car attached to it. I need something obviously different for the Supra.
So what kind of option do I have for a sliding rail on a side mount seat?
I'm 5'6, so definitely I'm not into mounts that basically put the seat on the floor.
Yes, I am aware of safety hazards using sliders with harnesses.

If there was, I would have bought it, lol. I was conscious to run off less on the right side until the new one came in. Hahaha…. You should be fine dude.
My man @FLtrackdays is taking every curb.
When I track out, I track out… ?

Something that may help - the CARiD configuration tool. As an example: https://www.carid.com/sparco/sparco-evo-qrt-series-fiberglass-racing-seat.html. If you setup the correct vehicle (your model year Supra) on the site, go to a seat like the one linked above, and hit "Product Options," it will tell you what you need to install the seat in the car (with the assumption of reasonable accuracy), if the part is required or optional, and if it is vehicle-specific or universal. I love the site, but I've never ordered anything from them before. I'd love to hear from someone who has to know what their experience has been.
