Purchased in September 2019 and no regrets at all. As others have mentioned, looking at youtube (and/or social media) and comparing your choices is not a healthy thing to do, but it is human nature. I suggest that when you start feeling down, get off your phone and go for a drive. After you come back, you'll remember that none of the Internet BS matters.

at a surpra car meet yesterday lots of guys saying the same thing.
Where was the meet in SoCal? That's interesting the more powerful 2021 has oil burning issues. It's a good thing the car has an electronic reminder when it's a quart low. The trade off in having more standard HP

Thatā€™s actually a complaint (one of those of only a few). There is no dip stick.
Iā€™m old school. I like to SEE the oil. Iā€™d like to be able to see if water ever gets in the oil, etc.

Purchased a Launch Edition, after one year of ownership BMW has grown on me and my opinion on the brand has changed prior to owning this car. I now want to try out a BMW M2 CS which I'm on my way to purchase in Blue with Gold Wheels.

Iā€™m gonna suggest not blue, but black with gold wheels. Go full Bandit edition.

My only thing against black is that it doesn't accentuate the carbon and the CS has plenty of carbon. Carbon Roof, Spoiler, roof etc.

Had mine since August '19. Absolutely zero regrets. Love everything about this car.

I purchased my MKIII (my avatar pic) December '86 and still have it. It has about 145,000 miles on it. No regrets about that purchase. Drive what you love, love what you drive.

There are still some 2020 owners still grasping for straws since the 2021 announcements, especially some YouTubers out there stating that 2020 models have "Way more low-end torque". Not true, there's a 150-200rpm difference in torque arrival (almost undetectable by any butt dyno) and the max torque on the 2021's is measurably higher. The 4800rpm+ HP gains are substantial, in some cases 40whp.

All ECU's will eventually be unlocked, yes even the late 2021's and so on. The 2021 is a faster and better car, any arguments against that are only from some of the bitter 2020 owners. There are no "trade-offs", the 2021 models are just better through improvements.

Had I bought a 2020, I would have unquestionably been upset when Toyota announced the 2021 improvements.

In what way is the 2021 better than the 2020 that I canā€™t easily change outside of pistons and lower compression? I just bought my 2020 Nitro Yellow 2 months ago and I donā€™t regret it one bit

6 port
suspension.

everything can be upgraded. Just is more $$ for 2020 to catch up to stock 2021 in handling and hp.

stock for stock 2021 no even debate.
mild tune still 2021
full bolt ons and tuned flip a coin
