I think the hype is dead.It was the same thing with me. I live in Frisco and went down to Toyota Plano and they wouldn't let me even see the one they had, and wanted $85k. I drove to Houston and got one below MSRP. I'm now hearing from all the dealers I dealt with, they are all backpedaling and saying they never did the whole market adjustment thing, when they really did. Just glad I got one.
I think also it seems like most dealers have over ordered them.I think the hype is dead.
Which dealer in houston gave you below msrp price??It was the same thing with me. I live in Frisco and went down to Toyota Plano and they wouldn't let me even see the one they had, and wanted $85k. Auto nation was advertising that yellow with a mark up. At least some of their sales folks were.AutoNation Gulf Freeway. Dealt with Mike Smith, great dude. Got the deal done via email and texts, he picked me up at the airport and I drove it back. Nitro Yellow Premium, got it August 22.
You could of saved me some travel expenses and got me the color I wanted when I asked about your le. But you guys wanted 85k..will send my referrals somewhere else. This is directed to your dealership and not you personally. Please let me know if you know anyone in the market for a Premium or Base model. I do not over charge my customers. Because I believe in referral business, not one time sale. Thank you. Paul Tseng at Toyota of Plano.
