Just curious if anyone here has lowered their A91-CF Edition yet? The carbon fiber body kit is approximately 0.50” lower to the ground than the standard Supras. If anyone has, I’d be really interested in their experience, I’d like to drop mine 0.8” but I am concerned it will be too low and end up potentially bottoming the carbon out and causing unwanted damage if I lower mine.

I personally didn't lower my A90, however I bought it and found it has aftermarket H/R springs so I assume its lower then stock. In my experience, just worrying about it is fun sucker... unfortunately I have to be careful in and out of the driveway with the proper turning approach and hit 9 out of 10 speed bumps at an angle. A bit of apples and oranges but its food for thought.

Tons of people are lowered on spring/coils with an added aftermarket front lip. Sure you might scrape the underside of your lip once in a while but you'd have to do something pretty extreme to shred the front.

Beauty is pain :headbang:

The difference is the front portion on the standard car still isn’t as low at the bumper cover itself on the bottom front. The A91-CF is 0.50” lower than the bottom of the cover on the standard car.

Maybe some of you that have a lip and lowered could share measurements from the ground to the bottom of the front bumper for comparison?

It’s easy for me to see the difference right next to my 2 cars.

I’m curious of anyone is willing to share their personal experience lowered. How often scrapes happen, etc. I’ve done plenty of mods in my time that didn’t always work out as well as planned. I’m trying to avoid regretting lowering a car that is already .5” lower to begin with. I really like the look but I don’t want it to be something that in the end is a battle to drive with.

Anyone have a 1.3” total drop on their Supra and if so what’s your experience with that?

FWIW, I have an aftermarket lip on my car with stock height and it is very prone to scraping.

If you are very concerned about scraping, I would highly advise against lowering.

Thanks for the feedback. Could you show a tape measure from ground to the bottom of your lip when you get a chance?

I'm on the Eibach Z4 kit which is supposed to be 0.8" drop but not a CF-edition. Personally I wouldn't want to be any lower with the roads around here, it's something I'm constantly paying attention to when I drive around town. Not sure where you are in Ohio, but I'm just across the river in WV and our roads definitely aren't nice and flat where you can slam the car and not worry about it.

I just ordered the Eibach US kit and I have an A91 CF. I think it will be fine personally, but I can reply back next week once I install the kit. I just cant keep it stock ride height, too much wheel gap for me lol.

Absolutely! This would be great info to have as I know there are a few of us here that have the A91-CF. Seems to be the fewest forum members of the A91 limited series on here so, any info is always welcome. With your drop be aware it is approx 0.5” lower than the standard car so be cautious with “gettin low, gettin’ low”, “gettin low”!

BTW: AZW is the only one I wanted, nice choice indeed! Makes the carbon pop!

Yeah there were many that were built without the carbon kit and not replaced in the production and sold to dealerships at deep discounts to sell as is. So who knows how many actually received the correct build configuration. I’d estimate up to 1/3 of them could have been affected. I also know at least 1/200 AZW were totaled, as I posted it in the registry here.

I did notice that. I bought mine used with 900 miles. Every other one I saw for sale had no carbon. What's the point in getting one without all the carbon lol

Mines lower about 3/4”. Put a slip lo kit underneath the lip spoiler and learn to angle the car and you’ll be fine ??‍♂
