Apple CarPlay no notification sounds

Today I noticed that I do not get notification sounds. I see the notification pop up from the bottom. But it does not make any sounds. I am sure I have heard these before.

Can someone help me on that?

I Havnt had notification sounds. But to be honest, it’s best if you don’t worry about anything until you’re done driving or at a stop.

I had an option to change my messages to view on screen instead of the voice chat and I chose not to do so for safety and to keep the side bitches in line

I can only get Waze notifications (like police reported ahead) when I actually have a destination programmed. If Waze is just running, no sound. For text or email alerts I just turn the volume all the way up on the phone and can hear them that way.

None of my cars make CarPlay notification sounds….

My Supra does, but not always and today it worked again. But after my first ride, it was like before, no notifications sounds. I dont touch my iPhone at all, so its not a setting on my iPhone.

At first I thought it was coming from my iPhone, but it's clearly coming from the speakers. It also stopped after the first drive, so even if it was coming from the iPhone, it was gone after that.

I’ve noticed it’s random when the notification sounds work and don’t work. It was the same way in my VW GTI as well. I usually mute them anyway if I’m driving by putting my phone on silent.
