Time spent above a given rpm is a function of the maximum rpm. Hmm…I don’t think you understand a lot of the words that you use or you just don’t make any sense.Time spent above a given rpm is a function of maximum rpm. Time spent above 7,000 when you have 9,000rpm? Every time you accelerate heavily.
While my car spends most of its life below half revs, I bought it to be exciting which is a function of rpm.
Can you short shift the tractor with enough gears? Of course! Is it exhilarating? Absolutely not.
Look buddy, I owned an AP1 S2000 for several years and loved that thing. Yes, it was exhilarating revving that car out to its 9000 redline when I did it. However, 99.9% of the time when I was driving that car, it was as slow as my wife’s Corolla. Don’t know anyone who revs the piss out of their car to get up to 25mph. If that is you, you’re an idiot.
My point is, for 99.99999% of street driven cars, it’s engine is not being pushed balls to the wall 99% of the time it is in operation. The B58 with its lowly 7000redline does just fine. However if being able to rev up to 7500 rpm gets your dick hard, you do you. My dick doesn’t need an extra 500 revolutions each minute.
