Looks awesome - they almost look like the OEM wheels.

I donā€™t think anyones salty, thereā€™s just no reason to add rotational mass or less meat to this car.
I actually added more meat and same overall diameter and dead hook on the trackā€¦ on bagsā€¦ Iā€™m doing just fine

I'm not trying to start a war or anything here, but that's literally impossible. You can't add a larger sidewall tire, to a larger wheel, and keep the overall diameter the same, that's just.. 7th-grade geometry.

You still have more rotational mass, because of the diameter of the wheel. I get that your car isn't a drag car, but you're just not going to hook that well with rubber bands for tires, at least not with a decent 60'.

In my first post, I wasn't saying these look bad, it's just mostly impractical for a good number of folks, 20s are a show wheel, and a lot of folks on the forums aren't doing that sort of build- which is why you were having a little trouble finding the specs you were looking for.

And, if you're that sure you're hooking, pick a lane ;) I'll trailer mine over to SLC. I have some friends there, and it's been a while since I've seen 'em.

Looks good! Iā€™m partial to 19s or 18s so you can be proper on the ground when aired out but thatā€™s just me

It's not a larger sidewall though, stock is 35, he's running 30. 275/35/19 are 26.6" overall, 285/30/20 are 26.7", so pretty close

I like the wheel design and color, though I think they'd be better in 19. Hate the bags, sorry. The whole "stance" look with ridiculous negative camber and tucked wheels is just terrible IMO. This one isn't as bad as many others I've seen though (that Subaru in the other thread... ?)

mafffs is hard mmmk
Math is not hard, it's super easy actually.

Right... so less meat. More rotating mass. The circumference of the wheel is larger. More rotating mass. You don't have an overall larger diameter with a smaller sidewall.

Like I said, pick a lane.

I think this is a super cool look and I love seeing cars like this especially when rolling... but I don't have any desire to drive one.

More rotating mass.
What they are trying to say is inertial moment. Sit on a spinny office chair and spin with your arms out. Then pull your arms in (the figure skating trick). Wheeeeee!

Even if a 20" wheel/tire set has less mass as 18" same tread diameter, the 18" will probably be faster. Unless its, like, a LOT lighter. The 18" has "pulled its arms in".

Thatā€™s not how this worksā€¦ you now have less rubber flex which means less grip. You took tire away to add wheel. On top of all of that you are running stretched tires which amplifies all of the above in a negative way.

If you are dead hooking on the track itā€™s because you arenā€™t launching the car. Michelins donā€™t dead hook, even cup2s.

Just want to add that even the aspect ratios on tires change amongst tire manufacturers. Only sure way is to measure it out.

Also as a point to rotational mass, different tires from different manufacturers have different weights, even if they are the same size. :)
