Best bang for the buck performance mod would be a drivers mod and join a HPDE track event.
Damn, you stole my lineā€¦ what a great answer!

Icing on the cake: 1) sound = downpipe & exhaust 2) tires for better grip

Best bang for your buck mod while maintaining "street legal" status...hmmm.

These or some like it. Performs well to eliminate wind buffering noise past 50mph. Best part is you stay "street legal"!

Not a huge bump, but a JB+ is cheap and a great stop gap before going full Femto - skipping the JB4 entirely.
This is what I did. Was happy with how the plan turned out :)

the fact you added an exhaust, youā€™re already not ā€œstreet legalā€. Best bang for the buck is get a high flow cat/catless downpipe then a tune with mhd or bm3. end thread.
Thats fair.

Alright guys holy shit i get that mods and street legal don't go hand in hand but if you actually read what i said i came here trying to see if there was something i wasn't aware of. Found out there is nothing else out there its really not that deep. Sometimes you learn something sometimes you don't. Dont know why everyone gets so passive aggressive over an online forum lol

Best bang for buck mod imo would be JB4 if locked ECU or a tune.

I also live in Ontario, specifically in the GTA. Pretty much any mods are 'illegal' here, but I've also gone 4 years catless on my RS3 and haven't had any troubles.

With that being said, bang for buck like someone said is probably the anti wind buffeting piece. It's by far the best quality of life mod. Other than that you have to figure out what mods you're comfortable with doing. If you want power and to stay out of trouble, stay stock DP, do basic bolt ons, and maybe tune.

If i had to do it over again, i'd skip the whole JB4 nonsense and would have gone straight to a catless downpipe, Femto unlock, and OTS tune from either BM3 or MHD. All boils down to what your goals are. IMO, the JB4 was only a mild upgrade from stock tune/power, when i went custom tune on BM3 is where the car was completely transformed.
