All high flows have a little smell from time to time. Nothing compared to catless smell by any means.
guess I’m lucky with my MAD catless. Recommended to me & purchased from @NitroYellowMKV It was awful in my RX8. In this car, I barely notice ? at all.

Sad update but I've installed my AA Catted DP and the second day I got a CEL but it actually went away on its own somehow the next day but it's back again now. Does anyone know what could be going wrong?

Could be the bad batch that was produced.

Yeah unfortunately I think so but do you possibly know why the CEL is going away and coming back?
Have you double checked your install? Maybe a leak somewhere? Whats the exact code?

if it does not come back, you are good.
if you get a CEL, contact Active Autowerke and they will replace it asap

Hello everyone. What good options are there for DP with 200 cell cats. Thanks
Cg precision is a proven dp with an 5” top section, this dp was my top choice but i recently came across another dp im highly considering made by LOGOS called MONSTER SERIES:Ultra High Flow 5" Catted Downpipe. This is the only 200 cell dp with the longest 5” barrel I seen on market (rather than just a portion of the pipe) but not alot of people are familiar with the brand on this platform. They are well known on the mercedes and audi platforms tho

I'd be curious what cat they use as a GESI cat alone would cost more than $695.

GESI is over expensive. Other brands are way less. A 200 cell cat is going to cause a CEL anyway. As long as it can take care of the fuel smell I'm okay with it.
Exactly my thinking brother. Plus you can go femto unlock custom tune so CEL will not be issue as you can disable the sensor… atleast those are my plans anyway lol

GESI is not 200 CEL, its 400 CEL

the flash tune hides the code, you will still fail emission testing so if thats a thing in your state, the GESI cat is worth the investment since its EPA approved

For me thats all the more reason to not go with GESI.
You can get the Fabspeed 200 CEL HJS downpipe, but its even more expensive.

leen in mind the Gesi cats used in the Active Autowerke downpipe are rated at 950 HP, so if you are not even close to that power level, there is no downside to going with them

Excuse the question, but I am new to this platform. Am I good using the AA Catted Downpipe if I plan on sticking with stock tune and stock exhaust for a while?
