Can the Akra use stock exhaust valve/wiring? From their website it seemed like you had to buy their own proprietary valve at a high cost

Since EU/ME spec cars valve operation is not "ON" "OFF" like US cars, they have an optional sound kit.. Valves operate in an entirely different manner

No need for the sound kit, I don't run it with my Akrapovic

I guess my question is, I have US model, can I run my stock valve to keep it quieter in non-sport mode?

Yes the Akra has valves built in and a spot for the OEM module to be transferred over.

For US model you will use the OEM valve with the Akra and retain it like all other valved exhaust systems

CEL delete means it fools the ECU to think you have stock downpipes. If your state does emission testing on vehicles, I recommend against this option. If you get caught with it you will need to pay hefty fines

You will get a CEL with any catless downpipe and even some catted downpipes, usually people have the codes tuned out or turned off.

I would suggest to go for AA catted downpipe. You don’t have to deal with CEL.

You should reach out to AA directly in that case. They guarantee No CEL and should be able to resolve your concerns. Any other modifications on top of downpipe? I have a protune with intake & charge pipe and still no CEL.
