Hey everyone,
I’m trying to build a well-balanced MKV Supra that can still be enjoyable on the street while being capable for HPDE and occasional autocross events. Not building a dedicated race car, more of a dual-purpose setup that can handle spirited driving, track days, and maybe light drifting here and there.
Curious what setups people here are running for:
  • Coilovers
  • Alignment specs
  • Sway bars
  • Wheel/tire setup
  • Brake pad/fluid recommendations
  • Useful cooling mods
  • Any weak points noticed after repeated track use. Would also like to know what worked well without completely ruining ride quality on the street
Thanks!

There isn't a single solution that's going to work well for all of those. The closer to comfortable on the street will shy away from working well in a motorsports environment and the closer to fast on track will move away from comfortable on the street. Yes, there are hybrid solutions, but they tend to not be great at any one thing.

A good number of the questions you posted are answered in the tracking/autox threads as well. Reading through those will give you a good idea on setup, alignment, bars, wheels, tires, brakes, and cooling.

My recommendation is to pick up some brake pads that are recommended by the brake pad thread (and fluid), make sure it has good oil in it, and drive it the way it is. Doing that, combined with reading, will get you the answers you want.

Since my goal is to enjoy a few HPDEs here and there, I'll share...

About a year after I bought my car, I did the Toyota GR Track Day + a full HPDE the next day. Afterwards, I added a catted downpipe then ended up skipping all of 2025. So far this year, after swapping to a "better" brake fluid and installing Ti backing plates to the front brake pads, I've done two separate, single-day HPDEs. The only things I'm adding in the immediate future are camber plates and solid front LCA bushings (both on order).

On the street, I always drive the Supra in Comfort mode. :D

I'm three fourths-heartedly considering a set of HKS height adjustable springs.

Are you wanting to lower the car? Why are you looking to make a change? Asking because I did a season of Time Attack and Auto-X on stock suspension and the car did extremely well. In fact I won every event except for one, where a ringer joined my class for the day LOL. This was against a lot of cars with suspension and/or aero mods. One even had r-comps.
Since not going "full racecar", you may not really need to do anything (other than save a lot of money).

Agree, the list you've already got installed is pretty good. Only things I would suggest is rear toe arms and traction links (any brand besides SPL). Otherwise, learn the car on a softer suspension, it will give you more time to react on transitions and has a more noticeable feel when it takes a set.

The car is extremely capable when relatively stock. I just got this car in January and my first couple of track weekends were with euro eibach springs, camber plates up front, track alignment, a front sway bar, pads/fluid, and 200tw tires. It was impressively quick. Tires, brake pads/fluid, and an alignment is all you need to start. Decide where you want to go from there.

Are the Euro Eibach springs noticeably stiffer than stock? I've been looking at these for a minimal drop and added stiffness but the dedicated spring thread is mostly pictures.

Very similar to stock.
