Just installed the Blitz brace. It came with a set of new bolts, but the ones that go near the shock are M10 instead of M8. I was a bit confused, and remember reading another member said it was a little difficult to install a couple of the bolts. These must be them as they have a nut on the other end requiring you to go into the wheel well to hold the nut.
Are the factory bolts a "one time use" bolt? I just reused the factory bolts and torqued to
40 ft/lbs. They were much tighter than that when I removed them. If they are a one time use, is it really that bad to reuse them? Can I just buy M8 bolts to replace the factory bolts if they are one time use?

Thanks

I used all the hardware that Blitz provided
My stock hardware went back into the Blitz box for storage

The 2020 model year never came with any braces, and therefor the holes in the strut towers were never tapped with threads. So if you're installing it on a 2020 and don't want to mess with tapping the sleeves, you can just run a smaller diameter, albeit longer, bolt through those sleeves and secure it with a nut in the wheel well. For 2021+, just reuse the factory M10 x 1.5 bolts and get on with your life.

Anyone know what the stock bolt torque spec is? I briefly checked before removing them and the shock tower bolts clicked at 70 ft/lbs, so they were tighter than that. That seems like a lot of torque for those bolts

41 ft lbs is the factory spec

This is the answer. It's harder on the 2020s only.

Just installed the blitz bar. All 4 screws (came with the Blitz bar) used to mount onto the car fell right in and did not catch any threads. My 2025 came with the home depot looking steel brace bars. As mentioned, I reused the OEM screws for the Blitz install.
