Currently have a JB4 and a Powerneedy catted DP that has started throwing CEL. It had gone almost 5k miles with no light, so I had sold my stock DP.

Now that it is time for PA emissions testing, it codes every drive cycle.

So I either buy another stock DP, try something like an AMS catted, or tune it out (2021 but ECU is March 2020 dated so all good).

Prefer the tune, if it can return an OBD test ready state with the rear O2 CEL disabled. Would then resell the JB4 to recoup some of the tune cost.

Can anyone verify that Ecutek or similar will fix the CEL light, but still let the ECU show emissions readiness?

I am new here but I dealt with a similar issue with a tuned BMW 335i with hi flow cats and threw a CEL. My initial instinct is that this will cause a problem. I am in Nevada and we have some concerns out here with smog checks. I am currently in the market to get a new Supra or a BMW M2 but this car market is nuts right now. I would see if you can try it with the exhaust setup and see what happens. I know swapping down pipes can be a pain.

anyway, good luck

Not sure on the tune, but let this be a lesson to never sell your stock parts :)

I’m going to try tomorrow without doing anything. Everything is on ready status except for evap.
In Missouri 1 can be in not ready status.
if I fail I’ll just put in stock dp and reflash to stock. Then revert all changes after the OBDII scan
