Carplay Problems-Just Me?

Didn’t want to create another CarPlay thread, but curious if anyone else had/has freezes/stuttering when using wireless CarPlay? If so how did you resolve?

I have iPhone 12 Pro. Only thing I’ve tried is unpairing and repairing to no avail. Last resort will be a restore of the phone.
I haven’t had those specific issues, but I’ve had issues with individual apps. Spotify just recently started having an issue when it won’t play the current song, but has no issues playing the previous or next song. Eventually it plays the current song after I skip back and forth a few times return back to it. Pain in the ass. Also, the sleep mode in Waze gets hung up in CarPlay sometimes. I have a 12 Pro, too.

Yes, wired CarPlay is supported too. Its the only way I can actually get the head-unit to link.
How do you get CarPlay to work wired? I would like to but haven’t figured out how.

On the iPhone 12, go to Carplay and delete any association with the Supra. On the car's display, delete reference to your phone. Setup once again using Carplay. I've had my Supra for 18 months and never had a problem.
Appreciate the advice. Unfortunately didn’t work for me. Did Forgot Wi-Fi, CarPlay, and Bluetooth on phone and then deleted from car. Still had some freezing/skipping though minimal.

Oddly enough, I’ve noticed over the last 3-4 months that my CarPlay doesn’t skip IF another device is in the car that is connected to Bluetooth at the same time.

Damn yours doesn’t work after getting recall or hasn’t worked since you got the car? I think you can check your cars iDrive version through one of the OBD readers.

Update on this: Decided to delete all saved mobile devices on my car (3 phones) and have mine be the only saved one. 2 days in and no skipping now. Odd this works because I would get skipping even when these saved phones were nowhere near the car.

It worked sometimes when I got the car and since I got the recall it hasn’t worked at all for CarPlay that’s why I want to make sure they even updated it correctly.
