I noticed it just a little the first few times I started the car. Now I don’t. Not sure if I just got used to it or maybe it has sealed a bit better over the miles.

Cool, thanks. Even when stopped at a light? That is my main concern, smell outside cabin is fine, but inside cabin I definitely don’t want. We’ll see what they when I take it in, hopefully it’s something wrong with the install that’s causing the smell and the CEL that just popped upI have the V2 AA catted w/GESI and there is a faint smell behind the car. Never in the cabin
Do you have air recirc on or off?I’m running the AA, it’s been on for a couple years. Everyone that gets in my car always asks how I keep it smelling like new. I don’t notice any smell and even my wife who would smell the slightest hint of anything and she’s never said a word. I’ve had catless or high flow catted Downpipes on most of my vehicles over the years so I’m very familiar with the smell, but don’t notice any smell on the Supra.

No I’m on the Catted AA downpipe.you have catless now?
Either way I never notice any smell. That’s one of the reasons I went with the ActiveAutowerks is catted and no cel before I tuned. I’m tuned now but the 1st year with it I was not.Do you have air recirc on or off?
Perfect, that’s what I wanted to know. I’m taking it to a different bmw shop today to have it checked for any leaks along the exhaust or dp/turbo. I brought up the smell issue to the original install shop and they said they just needed to tighten down the v band a bit more. But smell is def still very prominent with recirc off, so def a leak somewhere. Hoping it can get identified and fixed today!Either way I never notice any smell. Yes I’d say you probably have a small leak. I had mine professionally installed by a friend who is the master tech at a BMW dealership and I’ve never had any hint of a smell. I had it installed at the same time as the Eventuri intake. I wanted it done right because I heard people installed the airbox and had problems with it slipping off and I’ve had none of those issues either.Perfect, that’s what I wanted to know. I bought my AA catted DP back in March of 2021. Not sure what version that would be but never had an issue. However, it definitely smells during cold starts. Just not as bad as catless.
