Usually if the billing and shipping addresses don’t match it could be a sign of fraudulent order. But there’s some other things to lookout for.

Most payment processing gateways actually have a built in risk monitor that shows if an order is high risk.

100% this. It depends how you set it up. I have it setup so that if billing and shipping don't match up, it flags the order. Same if the IP address isn't near the the billing address. I had a new one set up that flags all orders over $1000. That way a real person (which is normally me) has to check over the order to make sure it looks good on paper.

It takes way more time to verify the order, which sucks but it doesn't suck as much as a charge back. The thing that really sucks is that there are just bad people out there. Everything can match up perfectly but if the part comes in with a minor scratch on it, people will still do a claim with their CC company, without even reaching out first. When that happens, those people get put on the do not sell list.

The sad thing is, if these dumb asses would put the same time and energy into an honest living, they’d be even more successful… They need to take this stupid option away from them by making the penalties much much more harsher!!! Such as the same penalties we’d get for tax evasion Full blown Martha Stewart jail time! No exceptions

Woah dude, that’s a lot of douchebags. I’ve been lucky to not experience this (yet). This is incredibly annoying and infuriating.

I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of those are the same person with stolen identities.

I’m creating this thread in an attempt to help fellow vendors and small businesses owners who operate an e-commerce website.

Chargeback scams have been popular for a while. It’s when a customer places an order, receives their part, and then opens a chargeback with their bank to get their money refunded.

Unfortunately even after providing evidence like a tracking number with delivery notification to the bank, in most cases the bank will choose to side with their customer.

First on the list who ordered 2 items from my website, received it, and then opened a chargeback without any communication about potential issues with their order is

The bank refunded their money and now I’m down the cost of the items, shipping cost, and the chargeback fee the bank charged me.

I’m trying to look out for other vendors in the Supra community, if you see this name or address be very careful about doing any business with them.

You have to go on “checkout” and fill in your shipping info. Then on the payment page it will come up.

Doesn't appear on the initial payment options, but I found it. Done deal. First BTC customer.
