I've been coding BMWs since the days that all we had was esys and a lot of patience. Now with Bimmercode it's a lot easier and faster.

But I'm having an issue with the start/stop "memory" on my 2025 Supra. I selected the option to "remember' the last setting, and it's not working. I went back in and sure 'nuf, it's set, the coding worked, but the car isn't recognizing it. So then I also set the option to disable start/stop. That's not working either.

I've also noticed that the car isn't remembering my last station on the radio (wrong band) and that could be related.

Now, the car only has 600 miles on it, I know BMW electronics are flaky and the iDrive especially can be whack. So I'm chalking it up to that, but I was curious if anyone else has experienced this particular behavior?

Ask me sometime about my adventure with my M2 and iDrive/Nav. :banghead:

Had the same exact problem on my 2023 and gave up after contacting bimmercode who said the feature no longer works.

Their only solution is to set it to always be in sport mode.

Thanks, both @FRS and Bryan. I guess I'll just have to make do... :(

I noticed after getting the DCM recall performed on my car and my radio being updated to a 24 year update that it no longer worked so I just coded it to start in sport mode as I typically swap it anyway every start up.

Edit: Also I typically just leave transmission in normal mode and just swap that independently to sport depending on what I'm doing just to get my nice commuter mpgs

You can't program out the auto start/stop function on the 24s and up (or late 23s and up I think). It drove me crazy until I realized it.

Only way to permanently turn it off is to get the xHP tune or have your car always start in Sport mode.

Sportscar = Sport mode; not entirely sure what the point of comfort mode is, really.

Also, I believe there is a hardware kit floating around that may be able to remove the start/stop feature.

As much as I fucking hate auto start/stop (and I’ve coded it out on my ‘22). This is a first world problem, like no sync on the climate control.
It’s not worth getting spun up about. 1 button push and it’s off.

My main issue was I honestly forgot EVERY single time I'd get in the car and start driving cause I was so used to not dealing with it. Not saying you aren't right about it being a 1st world problem but also not a big deal to me either. I just wish it was a permanent on/off toggle. I want to say ford I thought on some of them had it set to permanent, however, I know like almost all of these are now automatically turned on each ignition cycle unless you get in and code it out/disable it in some way.

I'm not "spun up", I was originally concerned that I had done something wrong/missed a step in coding, which I've not had issues with before.

The car has a very nice reminder: If I fail to select the option, at the first red light I come to the engine stops to remind me. ;)

So far my coding it to remember last setting is still working on my '21.
Im just hoping I never need to take it to the dealership for a warranty issue.
