Coilovers - Input

Hi!

Would love input from users who have experience riding on the HKS Hipermax R & S version and the HKS adjustable springs and Ohlins as well.

Some lows and highs of the products would be awesome, pleas!

I use my car as a daily and track at least once a year.

The stock suspension on our car is not that great so would like to upgrade.

If you're tracking once a year, and your MKV is a daily, the Hipermax R should be out of the question. Hipermax S is really great as a street/track coilover. In mid settings it's plenty stiff for a single track day -- you'll rid most of the pesky dive and lifts from the stock dampers. I'm running the Hipermax R's but my car isn't a daily. It's pretty harsh on the streets, and I'm ok with that. I don't have experience with the Ohlins.

For your purposes you’re probably fine with lowering springs. I’m on Motion control suspension, but I’ve had hipermax sp iv (the track spec before r came out) and it was a whatever Coilover for my needs. The R is also a pretty stiff setup for a non aero setup.
