I would say that's an installation problem - not a problem with charge pipes in general. Not following instructions precisely can cause problems with any part of any car - but that doesn't mean the parts themselves are bad.Would recommend against a charge pipe. Well, sorta. If you're going to have issues, it's going to be cyl 1 and cyl 6, not 5 and 6. Using meth injector for fueling can be dangerous if you're not watching your logs, but you can safely supply a little bit of additional octane across. Most of us use meth for cooling rather than pure octane boosting anyway - which is absolutely safe to do.
