It's well documented that near the beginning of the year 2 ports had the ultra flow. Ultra flow was improved and rebranded as flow max but has not been offered in 2 port. The ultra flow r is the larger one which it seems you have and currently the only version for 2 port on DAWs website. I don't know how many of the 1st version ultra flows are in the market. Looks like you may be good. Looking forward to your thoughts / results.

I hope mine truly is a revised version! All this conflicting info I'm receiving has me more than just a little confused. If only there was an "R" stamp so I'd know for sure. Has anyone else purchased an Ultra Flow R recently that has the "R" stamp on it? Another pic of mine

Man we've been shaking our heads with the changes over the past 6+ months. Bad marketing IMO. I'd have to defer to others regarding IDing it. I know the R has significantly larger wheels.

From the owner of DAW.
So the 6 port Ultra Flow R is the same turbo as the 2 port Ultra Flow and if you buy the marketed 2 port Ultra Flow R you will receive an Ultra Flow because an ultra flow R does not exist for the 2 port due to this being the first Ultra Flow for the 2 port? This also means that the OP and I do in fact have the newest and only version of the Ultra Flow for the 2 port, right?

It seems to me yes you have the latest only version for the 2 port. However now I’m more interested what may have went wrong with those dyno numbers. Do you know if it’s just a very low reading dyno?

I'm not sure. I try not to get hung up on Dyno numbers. Looks like it was done on a dynojet though and quite possibly a conservative tune. I unfortunately won't be able to share any delta either because I will be doing an Etune with no baseline Dyno or Dyno tune.

Do you have any of the dyno pull logs? If so send me one. I'd be able to let you know what's going on.

Oh fun, another layer of confusion and with a turbo name thats not even listed properly online. I'll just keep quiet and see how it plays out over the next few months.

I have the new Ultra Flow R. After talking with Shawn, this was the perfect street turbo for my goals. I am currently running it (6 port), with PI, Reflex, catless Titan DP, meth injection for cooling, ID1050cc injectors, Visconti FF, Visconti LPFP, Visconti Reflex harness, ECUTEK, with the XHP tranny flash.

I am more than likely the guy that is mentioned before about having a post on FB about this turbo not producing or had low HP and torque numbers from the dyno. I had removed this posts due to several reasons. Shawn, with DAW, has great customer service and communicates exceptional well. The results from these low numbers was from the tuner, Visconti. It was a very mild conservative tune and the results on the dyno proved it. These files were sent over to him and I asked him to review these logs again for any updates. He said he saw nothing wrong with his final file. I sent these files to several people, which all said the same thing: conservative timing, throttle closures, low boost level and more.

Since then, I have moved on from this tuner and switched to Marin. He has taken good care of me. I actually can call him and speak to him directly. If I have any questions, he explains it and does it in lamin terms. I have no regrets switching tuners, and he was nearly half the costs of Visconti. Marin tune from the first file, was night and day difference. His first 93 octane file felt like my Visconti E50 blend. Now my car makes over 700 and 650 torque (save stock tranny) or so, per what Marin states and what shows the display on Kill mode, Stage 3, at 31.6 psi of boost. Marin highly recommends these turbo's as well.

Bottom line, with the supporting mods, the Ultra Flow R flows very good, zero lag, and pulls its weight in mid to upper end, when the stock one falls off. You need to have the supporting mods to generate this kind of power and for this turbo to perform to its limits. Tuner is key as well.
