I get that. If possible, id like to not have to buy or install them at all, for the switch between winter and summer wheels

Right, I am saying you don’t have to and can still run without them without issue other then an error on the dash until somebody can code the delete for you.

If this offer's still available shoot me a message. I'm looking to avoid having to buy new TPMS.
Sent you a msg. if you're able to meet this week or weekend I can do it for you

i vaguely remember the tmps error causing an issue for drag guys, they have to do some kind of sequence with the traction button to do a burnout (?)

quick update. the speed sensor based tpms will catch a tire that is low by about 7-ish psi.

however I'm not sure what the criteria is for it to turn back off. drove for about 20 mins after refilling and it the light is still on. does it somehow need to be turned off manually going forward?

yea you need to set the pressure again. Just had this happen to me yesterday as I forgot to fill one tire up after a track day

I coded this in yesterday after switching to a 18x10 square set up. Unfortunately when I perform a reset it doesn’t seem to actually initiate anything and I still have the light. The TPMS is certainly disabled but it appears the speed based mechanism is still trying to work (to be expected) and failing.

wondering if anyone else had this issue? My guess is that because the diameter of my rear wheel specifically is smaller than stock it won’t calibrate. I’m running 275/35 for reference.

In the idrive menu there should be a tire size selection for "other". It will force the system to do an on-the-fly calibration of wheel speed sensors. Did you already do that?
