Does turning off fake engine noise also de-energize the exhaust valve?

No! Hes saying shift to R for Race mode!
And for some strange reason his car is more quiet inside after turning off the fake noise. I can’t decide if this is a legit thread or a masterful job trolling razorlab???

Dude, that makes no sense. You are saying that the fake noise slows the car down? Just trying to clarify.
No, in general, it feels faster without the loud generator sound. Now that it's turned off, Sport mode feels faster at higher speeds (110+).

Do a dragy app 110mph to 140mph comparison for science. Some days I feel fatter and heavier than other days, but only a weight scale would determine if how I feel is correct.

It feels faster because some of the torque request is actually fed to the speakers to make the sound.

So, turning it off allows all of the torque request to go to the engine instead.
It uses horsepower as well. That’s why BMW is saying their engines produce less power and torque than what they actually do. They’re compensating for the loss going to the speakers.

Not a Corvette.

Horsepower doesn't exist. Torque does. Just like white New Balances not existing without Corvette owners.
