Does Your MT Shift Knob Shake?

Cable shifter on the Honda transaxle vs remote mount shifter with solid-ish linkage on the Supra transmission.

The vibrations and movement of the engine/trans are not transmitted to the shifter in your Type R. They are to a degree in the Supra. That's all.

I've owned MT cars pretty much all my life and on some cars the shifter shakes.. some more so than others. It's really nothing to worry about.

None of the BMW M cars I drove has the shifter wiggling around…may be I am just not being observant

The only time I came across this phenomenon was in an S15 with modified engine mount + an additonal engine damper
