On my 3.0 Supra I installed a catted down pipe and an air intake and my car is now faster than a base c8 on rolling races and is just a little bit slower than a 911 GTS. For anyone wondering if the horsepower claims exhaust + intake manufacturers make are true, the answer is yes 100%.

My understanding is that aftermarket intakes add some unwanted heat and other than some mild aural improvements, provide zero performance benefit.

Any 60-130 times? That’s where we can see how much of a gain there was.

That's a common misconception that's been proven wrong a number of times.

Third-party dynos posted by VM Performance showed that aftermarket air intakes improve the airflow, and their dyno comparison showed a gain of 8 whp on a fully stock car and 15 whp on a tuned car.

BMS tests showed that the temperature increases when the car is idle, but as soon as the car starts moving, the temperatures are very similar to those of the stock intake but with better airflow.

Both studies concluded that an aftermarket intake provides an improvement over the stock one.

There’s this crazy video on YouTube of a 2021 Supra with catless dp only running neck and neck with a GTR R35 in a roll race. I was like I can’t believe that shit ?

I put a B58 Mst knockoff eBay intake on my new 24 (didn’t use the heat shield). Nothing scientific but the car definitely feels quicker and sounds better (not much flutter at all). I did notice that the car’s fan sometimes stays on after I turn the engine off. Armytrix Catless dp up next.
